Our second wedding of the 2024 season found us heading North to Chateau Du Ronchay for the wedding of Genevieve and Rodrigo.

The weather had been pretty bad in the South West of France, so heading North to what looked liked even more bad weather had us planning for a rainy day wedding.
We arrived the day before the wedding and went to the Chateau to meet Genevieve and Rodrigo, and we made a tour and talked through the plans for the wedding to make sure we were onto of everything we needed to do.
Heading back to our accommodation for the evening we found a lovely little restaurant, Bistrot Couchois  and enjoyed a nice steak and chips with a glass of red.
The wedding day went without any problems, including the weather behaving itself, which was a welcome relief for everyone.
The day started out relaxed and calm, I headed to be with Rodrigo and his boys, whilst Jo spent the time with Genevieve and her girls.
I’d planned a composite  shot for Rodrigo and his boys, given they were drinking Glenfiddich whisky and smoking cigars.  This gave me the opportunity to get my creative lighting into the mix.  We captured some great composite shots in black and white.
This first shot has Rodrigo on the right and his best man Gabriel to the left.
We love this second shot which has Rodrigo in the centre with Gabriel on the right and his brother Guilherme, all the way from Brazil, on the left.
They all looked great in the suits made by Red Church Cork
Of course, this blog isn’t just about the boys.  Jo took some stunning bridal details shots before heading to do the bridal portraits. Genevieve’s headdress was special – made by her Grandma and originally worn by her mum at her wedding.

The wedding rings were made from the melted jewellery of Genevieve’s Grandmother, a really special way to tie the knot, and included her grandmother’s beautiful diamond engagement ring.
The ceremony was held on the garden in front of the Chateau, and was led by celebrant Naïm TERRACHE – Paris Wedding Celebrant who made the ceremony one to remember.  The couple and their guests were full of smiles throughout.
Angelique at The Painted Wedding Bouquet did a great job decorating the outdoor ceremony area and the bridal flowers. In summary what a gorgeous venue and what a great couple.
All the best for the future Genevieve & Rodrigo!
